Cette chanson met en relation le sentiment de la colère et l'histoire des mutineries intervenues en 1917 lors de la bataille du Chemin des Dames. La Chanson de Craonne, écrite par des soldats français et reprise ici en introduction, évoque le même sujet.

Quelques explications de textes :

Pour pouvoir être démobilisé du front, certains mutins n'hésitaient pas à se mutiler. Le film Un long dimanche de fiançailles de Jean-Pierre Jeunet raconte ces épisodes.

This song relates the feeling of anger to the history of the mutinies that took place in 1917 during the Chemin des Dames battle. La Chanson de Craonne, written by french soldiers, is about the same subject.

In order to be demobilized from the front, some mutineers did not hesitate to mutilate themselves. The movie A Very Long Engagement by Jean-Pierre Jeunet tells about of these episodes.
