about
"Don't say I brought it, War was yet to come; I was used as a bait."
Ne dites pas que je l'ai apportée, la guerre était déjà à venir ; j'ai été utilisé comme appât.
Allusion au courant historique selon lequel les Balkans étaient une poudrière où la moindre étincelle aurait conduit à la guerre.
__________
This song relates the feeling of hate to the story of Gavrilo Princip who made himself guilty of the assassination of Franz Ferdinand, heir to the throne of Austria-Hungary, during his visit in Sarajevo on June 28th, 1914.
"Don't say I brought it, War was yet to come I was used as a bait."
Allusion to the historical trend according to which the Balkans were a powder keg where a simple spark would have led to war.
lyrics
His car is crossing the street
Will I be able to pull the trigger
Sarajevo feels the heat
From its crooked roads, word's growing bigger
My anger knows no defeat
Starting with a tear, ending with sniggers
Slain that bastard heir
Not his country to rule
My hate, to be fair,
The things that makes me drool
Kill that heretic
And murder all his fate
Get my nemesis
Out of the Serbian's gates
I feel nothing but his rage
I don't understand when they're screaming "peace"
My conscience is trapped in a cage
The key I need is guarded by a beast
Domination's on one page
The other side will bring war the the east
Slain that bastard heir
Not his country to rule
My hate, to be fair,
The things that makes me drool
Kill that heretic
And murder all his fate
Get my nemesis
Out of the Serbian's gates
Don't say I did it
I just bring peace through the sharp of my hate
Don't say I brought it
War was yet to come I was used as a bait
Slain that bastard heir
Not his country to rule
My hate, to be fair,
The things that makes me drool
Kill that heretic
And murder all his fate
Get my nemesis
Out of the Serbian's gates
